BBC Learning English: Talk about English: Insight plus

This site is aimed at English learners in an academic context and contains short talks on important issues such as globalization and global warming. Each talk includes explanations and examples of key concepts and a commentary that defines key vocabulary. It is also possible to download the script.

BBC Radio 4: A Point of View

This is a weekly ten-minute talk or ‘audio-essay’ from a leading journalist or commentator who gives his or her opinion about a global issue that is in the news. You can listen to the broadcast live or listen to past episodes by selecting the Episodes tab. If you have trouble following the ideas that the speaker introduces, you can read the article itself by following the link underneath the video to the BBC website.
